A school playground in Box Hill, coated in an outdoor epoxy system with line marking — slip-resistant, weather-resistant and safe for children.
For this project we transformed a school playground area in Box Hill with a durable, vibrant epoxy coating. The brief was a safe, long-lasting and visually engaging surface for students, complete with clear, precise line markings for play activities.
Playground slabs are the hardest test an outdoor coating gets: full sun, rain, thermal movement and a few hundred pairs of shoes a day. The slab was prepared mechanically, coated with an outdoor system chosen for UV and weather resistance, then line-marked once the base had cured.
